The opportunity:
Our Security and Technology Solutions team is seeking qualified Satellite Communication Engineers, in both technical and systems engineering, to join our team to support our Defence client in a large upcoming project. This role is based in Canberra.

Key responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Assess evolving operational needs and requirements for ongoing system support
• Enhance existing architecture for improved efficiency and adaptability to changing demands
• Implement updates and upgrades while ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure
• Perform Satellite Communication Systems engineering duties as required
• Manage lifecycle and sustainment duties as required
• Work closely with Defence clients to understand and develop requirements
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure system reliability
• Monitor and optimise system performance
• Coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration among engineering disciplines
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

About you

• Bachelors in Engineering or higher
• Demonstrated Systems or Technical engineering experience in Defence SatCom
• Prior experience in Defence capability and sustainment would be ideal
• Experience in Systems engineer, systems security, safety management, or software engineering in SatCom projects
• Prior experience in Defence consulting would be highly regarded

Must have at minimum a NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
