We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.

About the role

Working within our Customer Service Group, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Customer Relationship Specialist to join our collaborative and supportive team.

The role is responsible for managing larger customers with complex connection requirements before the application stage of project development or upgrade. The role will focus on a program of work with an active group of customers, providing advice and guidance on a range of connection requirements, whilst working through relevant regulatory processes. This can include collaboration with Engineers and various internal and external stakeholders regarding design and feasibility of works, negotiating fit for purpose agreements suitable to both the customer and TasNetworks.

The role will stay abreast of industry and network requirements, including analysis of data to provide insight and strategy to customers, to optimise the customer service experience.

About you

To be successful as a Customer Relationships Specialist at TasNetworks, you will have a demonstrated ability to communicate and manage a range of stakeholders and the ability to build strong business relationships whilst maintaining effective commercial outcomes.

You will have a working knowledge of the electricity industry and distribution customer connections regulation and policy. Your experience managing large customer accounts with solid leadership and influencing ability will see you succeed in this role.

You are required to hold tertiary qualifications in Business or Engineering (or equivalent) with exceptional time management and problem solving skills, that will contribute to the overall success of the team.
