This Opportunity

As our Customer Insights Specialist, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders at TasWater and help build and deliver our customer research program.

You will be at the forefront of discovering our customer needs and wants, analysis of this data, and building our solutions to deliver actionable insights.

Working with key stakeholders, senior leaders, and our executive team you’ll help to identify key initiatives, provide expert research advice to guide decision making, and identify improvements that will help TasWater unlock water’s full potential.

Key Accountabilities

  • Enable research accessibility and elevating collective knowledge.
  • Manage effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders that support the market research program.
  • Deliver project-based research to support the business in delivery of its objectives.
  • Assist in embedding customer insights into business processes at TasWater.

The Details


This is a fixed term position, available until April 2025 and offers full time hours as well as flexible start and finish times.

This position can work from primary sites in Hobart, Launceston or Devonport, as well as remote locations and home-based setups.

This position attracts a salary commencing at $99,000 – 110,000 (inclusive of superannuation) dependents on experience.

Your application must include a resume and a detailed cover letter that tells us:

  • Why you are interested in this role.
  • Your experience in market research, specifically building customer surveys and questionnaires utilising professional survey platforms.
  • Your experience in building engaging reporting utilising survey platform visualisation tools, or experience in PowerBI/Tableau or equivalent.
  • Your skills in Microsoft Excel and SPSS in support of insights generation.
  • Your experience in data analysis and generation of actionable insights from quantitative and qualitative market research and internal data.
  • Your experience in SQL or statistical analysis is desirable
