About the role:

Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager, you will have a keen interest within supply chain operations. This role will expose you to supply chain, freight and demurrage. You will be an analytical thinker with excellent problem solving and stakeholder management skills. This role requires strong verbal and written communication skills and you will be curious by nature and innovative in your thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track actual shipping costs incurred and analyse actual vs plan costs to identify opportunities for improved performance
  • Stakeholder management with internal teams
  • Review/challenge or process supplier invoices
  • Initiate claims to third parties for demurrage caused by unplanned terminal outages or under lifting
  • Review demurrage invoices for accuracy
  • Provide leave cover for Supply Analysts

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Finance highly regarding
  • Procurement and supply chain knowledge advantageous
  • High attention to detail
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Inventory/stock reconciliation
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • JDE and Power BI experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
