What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, monitor compliance for the safe and efficient operation of RPAS in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations, and ​conduct risk analysis and accident investigations to support safety of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) operations.

  • Assist Surveyors as needed for the monitoring of Dam Safety Management System (DSMS) activities and provide field and technical support services to enable the timely delivery of dam and structural movement monitoring surveys and other miscellaneous surveys.

  • Provide 3D solutions to Dam Data and Insights to support the delivery of relevant DSMS operational activities.
  • Lead and perform the acquisition, analysis, and integration of 3D data, for use in dam safety and other business decision making processes, and conduct other Dam Data and Insights surveying and GIS related tasks for internal customers.

  • Assist in the development of streamlining Dam Data and Insights data capture and business and system processes, data management and data systems, data outcomes and consumption.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualifications:Chief Remote Pilot qualifications registered with CASA, ​Registered Remote Pilot License with CASA & TAFE level qualifications in Surveying and GIS or higher
  • Experience as a Chief Remote Pilot for a similar organization, with ​Proven experience as a remote pilot and coordinating Remote Pilot operations on behalf of an organisation and surveying, remote sensing, GIS or related field.

  • Knowledge of RPAS operations and compliance with CASA requirements

  • Knowledge and the proficient use of 3D modelling software, generation and management of BIM data and use of ESRI GIS.

  • Valid NSW Drivers License (manual not mandatory)
