About the role

WesTrac is seeking an experienced and highly driven Product Support Sales Representative to join our Bathurst team!

To ensure WesTrac is the first choice for equipment solutions, this position will see the successful candidate identifying aftermarket Caterpillar parts and WesTrac service sales opportunities within a defined customer portfolio. By managing existing accounts and developing new accounts, you will engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, from owner/operators to fleet managers, on a range of transactions and projects to enhance the customer experience. You will be responsible for sales forecasting, CRM maintenance and other sales support functions.

Reporting to the Aftermarket Sales Manager – Construction Industries and based from our Bathurst branch, your customer portfolio will span Lithgow, Bathurst, Orange, Crookwell regions. It is anticipated that half of your time will be on the road visiting customers, with approximately 1 night away from home each week. As such you will be provided with a company car.

This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective day-to-day product support
  • Development of specific customer opportunities within the Commercial Engines, Local Government, Civil, Building and Construction industries
  • Sales of Caterpillar parts and WesTrac services
  • Development of specific customer opportunities and the regional growth plan
  • Account Management of current customer portfolio and developing new accounts
  • Actively promoting parts and service offerings in line with focused Caterpillar/ WesTrac programs

Skills & Experience

  • Trade qualification with significant industry sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and/or previous experience with account management
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to develop strong relationships
  • Well-developed analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Current driver's licence and the ability and willingness to travel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team
  • Computer literacy skills – MS Office and Sales
  • Caterpillar product knowledge and experience (Desirable)
  • Construction industry sales experience (Desirable)
