About the role

WesTrac is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join the General Workshop Rebuilds team based at our Tomago Branch.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee and manage various aspects of program/project delivery. This includes financial oversight, scheduling, contract management for both primary and subcontractors, tracking project team efficiency, managing workforce systems, and ensuring compliance with WesTrac’s standards.

You will work closely with both internal and external partners to create and uphold detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring quality and meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the project's scope, budget, and goals.
  • Creating detailed project plans to achieve objectives and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinating both internal and external resources for effective project execution.
  • Monitoring progress and costs to ensure alignment with project plans.
  • Keep all stakeholders, both internal and external, updated on project objectives and their responsibilities before starting.
  • Partner with vendors and contractors to understand and fulfill project requirements, addressing scheduling conflicts, resource limitations, and other project challenges.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience with a variety of Project Controls including Cost, Schedule, and Document Control.
  • Strong Computer Literacy Skills (including MS Office Suite, SAP).
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal).
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads and delegate effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Familiarity with machine assembly and machine rebuilds (Desirable).
