The Zinfra Projects and Infrastructure business is the trusted partner to deliver construction projects in Transmission Lines, Substations (Green and Brownfield), Renewable energy storage and Green Gas infrastructure.

About the role

As a Civil Project Engineer at Zinfra, you will play a crucial role in supporting the tendering and pre-contracts phase of our projects while also contributing to project delivery activities when required. You will work closely with the proposal, procurement, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality proposals and contracts, as well as oversee aspects of project execution.

Primarily, this role is pre-contracts focused but has the potential to support the delivery team as well. Our Civil Project Engineers are exposed to the full Project Lifecycle, from tender through to delivery.

When delivering Projects, working away from home will generally be required - typical roster being 11 days on, 3 days off, and 3 weeks on, 1 week off depending on the project. Uplift of between 10% - 30% is paid while working away as well as living away from home allowance (LAFA).

The Projects that Zinfra delivers include greenfield and brownfield D&C or Construct only Transmission Lines and Substations, primarily in the Eastern states, with typical project values ranging between $5M and $50M.




Key Responsibilities include

  • Tender preparation; including scope of work, pricing schedules, and technical documents
  • Bid management
  • Risk assessment and proposing mitigation strategies
  • Cost estimation
  • Contract review; assist in developing contract terms and conditions, highlighting key deliverables, milestones, and commercial considerations
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the pre-contract phase.
  • Assist in overseeing project execution activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety protocols.




About You

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in a pre-contract / tendering or delivery role within the Electricity Infrastructure, Utilities, or Construction industries
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards
