SUSTAINING CAPITAL MANAGER
The Sustaining Capital Manager is accountable for the safe and effective leadership, management and delivery of Brownfield Projects across the Iron Ore Sector. In this role you will be required to establish strong stakeholder relationships, drive a continuous improvement culture, deliver transformational growth aligned to UGL business objectives and position UGL as a recognised sector leader.

About the role;

  • Responsible for the safety, quality, productivity and performance of Project scopes
  • Oversee contract management of the projects ensuring all risks are mitigated and deliverables achieved whilst always managing the relationship with the client to achieve mutually beneficial performance outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, development and guidance to a diverse UGL workforce
  • Create a culture of engagement, inclusion and recognition to support high performing teams and healthy working environments.
  • Utilise project controls experience to proactively manage project budgets, schedules and productivity.
  • Collaborate and consult with the broader UGL business to draw expertise and leverage value to deliver excellent project outcomes.

About You;

  • Appropriate Engineering or Project Management qualification including extensive Iron Ore sector experience
  • Acute understanding of operational requirements to deliver Brownfield Projects to an industry leading standard.
  • Excellent relationship building, negotiation and leadership skills to grow a high performing team and influence external stakeholders.
  • Highly developed understanding of cost, schedule, and commercial impacts, using these skills to effectively mitigate and manage risk.
  • Extensive experience in Project Controls including development, management and reporting on budget, schedule, and productivity.
  • Sound financial and commercial acumen are essential.
  • Experience and knowledge in the management of Employee and Industrial Relations.
