A bit about your role

An exciting opportunity has opened with nbn to join the team as a DevSecOps Manager reporting into the Executive Manager DevSecOps Workforce Management. You will be joining a large engineering team (500+ engineers), that is responsible for delivering and supporting IT changes related to in-house and commercial applications, following scaled agile and DevSecOps practices.

In the role of DevSecOps Lead, you will be accountable for delivery and operational performance of systems within the Workforce Management technology domain including system quality and lifecycle management. You will perform the technical lead role in the delivery, deployment and operational support of systems within an agile team. You will drive delivery to commitments and encourage DevSecOps practises. Utilising your technical expertise, you will also participate in delivery and/or operational support activities as part of the team.

In this role you will provide input to the Workforce Management capability roadmap and deliver the architectural vision. You will participate in determining delivery approach for the system, subsystems, and interfaces.

This role will involve working closely with the broader Delivery Teams, Architecture teams and Business teams.

You will participate in aligning the higher-level functional and Non-functional Requirements (NFRs) to a business aligned delivery schedule. That includes analysing contention, determining the primary components and subsystems, and identifying the interfaces and collaborations between them and calling out dependencies on 3rd parties. It will be important to understand the Solution Context and work with the teams, Customers, and the Suppliers to help ensure fitness for purpose. Inherent in this role is a high level technical understanding of SaaS platforms (Salesforce preferable) and CI / CD pipelines.

In the role of People Manager, you will manage and evaluate individuals and ensure that the team has all the necessary skills and knowledge to execute the works program.

In the role of Scrum Master, you will perform a servant leadership role for the agile team to enable them to self-organize, self-manage and drive continuous improvement via effective Lean-Agile practices. You will also help team members communicate, coordinate and cooperate; thereby assisting the team in meeting their delivery goals.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate for this role is an individual who has a strong background in team and people management, DevSecOps practices and deep knowledge in IT delivery and operations of software systems ideally in a SaaS platform environment (Salesforce preferably).

You will have extensive Agile delivery experience and will ideally be SAFe Scrum Master certified or have an equivalent certification in Agile methodologies.

Furthermore, you have proven exposure to different IT functions like Strategy, architecture, Support (among others) and have domain knowledge in IT service management and TMF standards. You have prior experience working and delivering in major telecommunication infrastructure projects such as a network or technology rollouts of similar calibre to nbn.

You are ideally a technical individual that has transitioned into a delivery role in a large complex environment before.
