Chief Technology & Innovation Officer at EY

Katherine Boiciuc, also known as KB, is the EY Chief Technology and Innovation Officer for the Oceania region.

KB helps clients gain the most from innovative technology like generative AI and advanced computing. She uses her experience as a futurist to lead innovations at EY and guide EY clients on how to adopt new technologies ahead of their competitors.

Prior to EY, KB has more than two decades of experience and is one of Australia’s go-to professionals on tech. She’s led global teams to deliver services at Telstra and more recently has been advising Australia’s next generation of CXOs as a Director at Maximus.

KB holds a Master of Leadership, Business Administration and Management and several other qualifications from Deakin University. She is a graduate of London Business School where she studied Managing the Company of the Future. The Institute for the Future in California certified her as a Foresight Practitioner.

“My job is to position EY to confront industry specific challenges, drive market disruption and maximise the operational efficiency of EY clients to help them grow. I think it’s important that EY clients are prepared for the ethical, societal and regulatory implications when it comes to AI, cybersecurity, and data privacy.

Erin Ashton is the AI Enablement leader at EY in Oceania, working in the Office of the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer. Erin is an AI adoption leader, focused on helping EY people move from talking about artificial intelligence to actually using it, safely, confidently and at scale.

Erin works at the intersection of technology, people and change. She partners with senior leaders, service lines and crossfunctional teams to turn fastmoving AI capability into clear pathways, practical tools and handson learning experiences. Her work spans enterprise AI tooling, demand management, upskilling and capability programs and innovation sandboxes,

helping teams progress from early experimentation to meaningful, everyday impact.

A core part of Erin’s approach is building communities that make change stick. She leads and activates a Change Champion Network, empowering advocates across the organisation to role model new ways of working, share practical learnings and accelerate adoption from the ground up. This network plays a key role in turning strategy into momentum.

Known for her pragmatic and humancentred approach, Erin specialises in removing friction from adoption. She designs frameworks that balance curiosity with control, and innovation with governance, so teams can move quickly without losing trust, security or compliance.

Based in Melbourne, Erin works across the Oceania region to build confidence, capability and energy around how AI is used, embedding new behaviours that scale and deliver real value.
