Job Description

The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing marketing automation strategies and campaigns that help our customers get the most out of Abcam and grow the business. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn new skills and push boundaries. Experience with at least one marketing automation platform, preferably Eloqua, as well as experience with email marketing and lead generation will be a strong benefit in this role.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement email marketing automation strategies and campaigns using data and audience insight to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention
  • Work with the rest of growth marketing and the wider business to execute campaigns
  • Work with regional marketing to roll out programmes to all relevant markets with appropriate localisation
  • Responsible for pre-sales activities through marketing platforms and coordinating hand-offs to sales teams
  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiency where automation could improve engagement and conversion
  • Be able to report, track and drive innovative new approaches across campaign automation and customer journeys
  • Bring ideas and tests to help increase awareness, build engagement and increase conversion. Responsible for building these tests, measuring their effectiveness and sharing learnings with the team

About You

  • Prior experience in marketing automation
  • Experience with a variety of marketing automation platforms and tools
  • Experience with email marketing and lead generation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage, prioritise and deliver multiple projects at once

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year marketing experience with hands on use of marketing automation tools and CRM systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and cleanliness
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing requirements
