Accountabilities:

As a Scientist in our team, you will support the characterization of a broad portfolio of biologics, including mAbs, ADCs, bispecifics, enzymes, mRNA and viruses. You will work collaboratively within the Analytical Sciences team to enhance our product understanding. Your role will involve planning and completing analytical experiments to meet project needs, using mass spectrometry (LC-MS) to characterize protein therapeutics, and reporting high-quality analytical data to non-expert audiences. Essential Skills/Experience:

  • BSc (or equivalent), MSc in biochemistry, chemistry or biotechnology with a strong understanding of protein chemistry.

  • Experience planning and/or implementing analytical experiments to meet project needs.

  • Experience with mass spectrometry (LC-MS) to characterize protein therapeutics, including post-translational modifications.

  • Familiarity with some physicochemical methods such as N-linked glycan analysis, chromatography (SEC,IEC, RP), electrophoresis (CE-SDS and c-IEF) to analyse therapeutic proteins.

  • Experience working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with strong time management skills.High quality reporting/presentation of analytical data to non-expert audiences.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Practical experience analyzing a range of biotherapeutic modalities, including proteins/nucleic acid/nano particles/virus capsids.

  • Experience with automation, liquid handling robotics and programming languages (Python, R). Familiarity with predictive modeling and machine learning applications would be a plus.

  • Experience of Biopharmaceutical Development and CMC related activities including experience supporting regulatory filings.

  • Experience with tech transfer activities to other sites, including method qualification.
