Associate Maintenance Engineer Lead

We are thrilled to announce an opening for an Associate Maintenance Lead at our Macclesfield campus. This role is a key part of AstraZeneca’s UK Operation and the 2nd largest operational site within the company’s global network. As an Associate Maintenance Lead, you will work closely with the aligned Reliability Engineer, providing effective coaching and holding team members accountable for completion of set deliverables. Your role will ensure that the maintenance strategy is delivered on time and to a high standard. You will identify, negotiate, and deliver supplier contract agreements and contribute to the effective planning of maintenance periods. Championing sustainability within the team, you will demonstrate our commitment to AstraZeneca’s global targets. You will also become a key stakeholder within the major assets program, ensuring all elements of compliance are embedded into the new assets from the outset.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Recognised Training Route such as Apprenticeship to HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in an engineering related field.
  • Experience in delivery of initiatives, maintenance best practice and local improvement practices
  • Understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (SAP)
  • Experience in structured problem-solving techniques.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Basic statistical understanding and the ability to produce technical reports and documents.
  • Experience in Management Systems, Reliability Centred Maintenance and problem-solving tools
  • Experience in delivering change and investigation management.
  • Experience of working with automated packaging lines in a clean room environment.
  • Experience with VHP systems would be advantageous but not essential.
