Global Product Teams Finance Manager, R&D Finance

Join our global Project Finance team, supporting Global Product Teams (GPTs) and senior governing bodies with R&D project and portfolio decisions. This highly visible position offers direct exposure to senior management across the organization and exposure to business issues affecting the Group’s current performance and pivotal initiatives.

Accountabilities:

As a member of the GPTs, you will provide strategic financial advice, support, and challenge to project strategy, plans, and investment decisions. You will provide proactive and innovative financial analysis & scenario modelling to support the GPTs in assessing the value impact of critical project development options. You will champion good cost management during the planning and execution of clinical plans. You will provide input to all governance body presentations, leading the preparation of the financial sections. You will also provide Post Deal Management finance support for deals that fall within the responsibility of the GPT.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business required
  • Qualified finance professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Extensive work experience in Finance Function
  • Good experience of project / product evaluation
  • Experience of working globally within multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural teams
  • Ability to Impact and Influence/Collaborative Partnering
  • Maintains high ethical standards and demonstrates high personal integrity
  • Excellent impactful communicator with good presentation skills

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of working in a global pharmaceutical organization/ understanding of the drug development life cycle and/or commercial aspects.
