INTRODUCTION TO ROLE:

As a Project Engineer, you will be part of a wider project team assisting the CPS Business Development and Innovations Lead. Your role will be hands-on, customer and contractor facing, delivering work packages, and ensuring they are delivered on time, safely, compliantly within budget, and exceeding our customer’s quality expectations. This specific role focuses on supporting the CPS Business Development and Innovations Lead, regarding the development and execution of a minor work's initiative.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Your responsibilities will include supporting the Business Development and Innovations Lead to develop and deliver the minor works Initiative and future innovation projects. You will act as a demand and commissioning manager, developing costs and schedules for construction, commissioning, and handover. You will ensure plans are prepared and executed for clients, end users, key collaborators etc. You will be responsible for all aspects of any work packages / scope assigned from the design stage through to completion and handover to the client.

CRUCIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- Knowledge and awareness of Project Management principles, documents, and plans

- Working in large (circa £3M) and small-scale projects (£0.5M)

- Awareness of CDM roles (Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, Client etc.)

- APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent project process

- Risk management

- Good facilitation and analytical skills

- Ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to the high standards

- Ability to quickly gain the technical, behavioural, and contextual elements of a project

- Project reporting

- Knowledge and awareness of AZ Change Control process delivery and SAP maintenance essential

- Knowledge of prequalification and supply chain assurance, systems and processes

- Awareness of ISO / AZ / CDM Regs standards

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- Engineering degree or equivalent experience (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Architectural, etc.)

- Understand engineering drawings, construction sites and activities

- Organisational and leadership skills

- APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent accreditation

- GMP, Validation and Pharmaceutical processes

- Strong drive and resilience

- Action and result oriented

- Ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels

- A willingness to see things through to the end

- A team player who is comfortable working with other specialists

- Ability to influence people at all levels

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines

- Being an inspirational leader who can demonstrate enthusiasm, passion

- Willingness to take on project ownership and accountability
