Job Title: Procurement Manager

This is a critical role within Global Procurement, including responsibility for spend within our UK Operations site based at Macclesfield, Cheshire. You'll have an appetite for change and innovation, and bring an ambitious, motivated approach to our already high performing team.

You will be on-site in Macclesfield working directly with stakeholders and suppliers.

You will operate in a variety of areas but mostly Direct Materials. Business Partnering is a key part of the role - to ensure that our strategies are fully aligned to current and future business needs, ensuring sustainable supply.

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the commercial and contractual elements of the sourcing process, as well as Business Planning (MTP) and monitoring spend against expected budgets/savings, ensuring we meet our site financial targets.

Key accountabilities:

• Negotiating and maintaining contracts/supply agreements for your allocated area.

• Maintaining strong business relationships with key suppliers ensuring solid performance.

• In conjunction with your peers in Global Procurement you will identify and lead Value Initiatives and Project Teams in support of a long-term Business Strategy.

• Visible at a senior level across the Operational Leadership Teams, partnering with the teams to identify and implement changes, often in complex and challenging business areas.

• Leading & working on site with our operations colleagues to deliver waste & plastic reduction supporting our site based targets.

• Consistently reviewing material supply risks and ensuring appropriate mitigation is in place and agreed with the relevant stakeholders.

• Support our business on sustainability through Decarbonisation to help achieve Net Zero by 2045

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Solid Procurement experience within an Operations environment.

• Strong contracting experience and confidence in putting Agreements together to deadlines.

• Excellent Business Partnering & communication skills

• Passion for Sustainability

• Tenacity to achieve results.

• Supplier Management experience

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• MCIPS Qualified.

The role requires an in-office presence of 4 days a week on our Macclesfield site
