Location: Broad Oak or Great Baddow. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements
Salary: Up to £61,000 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Successfully delivering the defence electronics Software Development programme, as well as future studies and bidding prospects
- Proactive and positive external customer engagements/stakeholder management
- Being accountable for the budget, performance and results of the team across all projects and activities.
- Exercising full management authority, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions
- Working with the engineering and business development teams to define future business cases and future technologies
- Identifying exploitation paths and routes to market for the product offering(s)
- You’ll also have people manager responsibilities in this role.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject or equivalent working experience
- Previous Project Management experience delivering software development programmes
- Experience of Microsoft projects
- Experience of forecasting and project performance reporting
Desireable
- Previous experience working with defence contractors and customers
- Experience with change programmes

The Novel Sensors team:
You will work with a diverse team of engineering specialists on a 4-5 year programme, developing a cutting edge defence software product for integration onto hardware platform. The core team is located in Great Baddow, Essex, with other key members located at across other BAE System sites. The Novel Sensors team has a proven track record of project delivery, by maximising the benefits of hybrid working (Remote and Office based).
