Job title: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Samlesbury

Salary:£40,003 + overtime and shift allowance

What you’ll be doing:

Complying with all applicable safety rules, policies and procedures

Planned preventative maintenance activities on plant and equipment

Fault diagnosis and repair of plant and equipment

Recording details of breakdowns and repairs where necessary to facilitate further analysis

Carrying out planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair on the electrical systems associated with any of the above

Providing on-site support 24 hours per day from Sunday to Friday with Saturday day cover on a rota shift basis

Working alone or as part of a multi-disciplined team

Taking account for your own work and in some instances will be required to work alongside specialist contractors

Participating in reliability centred maintenance activities, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

Electrical Apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with experience within a relevant electrical discipline

Proven knowledge and understanding of general 3 phase motor control circuits and fault diagnosis

Experience with CNC machines and PLC control systems (Siemens/Allen Bradley/RS Logix 5000 etc.) including PLC input/output fault finding

Knowledge of electrical sensors and applications

Experience of instrumentation control (PID loops, Temp, Pressure etc)

An understanding of variable speed drives, servo drive systems and control

Ability to read electrical schematic drawings

Experience working within chemical process plant, equipment and automated manufacturing systems

Desirable:

17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations

COMPEX training

Robotics experience is desirable

The Operations Maintenance team:

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability and performance of plant and equipment, diagnosing and repairing faults whilst taking a pro-active approach to solving any general electrical problems that may occur. As well as bring a strong team player, you also be confident working autonomously, with a willingness to work at height, in confined spaces, outdoors, travel on company business and work unsociable hours including shift work and overtime when required

The ideal candidate will be motivated, inquisitive with a desire to learn and have strong communication skills. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to work on a wide variety of plant equipment, working with the latest technological and innovative developments in manufacturing
