Job Title: Product Safety & Environmental Manager

Location: Portsmouth Broad Oak, we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £57,700 Dependent on skill set and experience

What you’ll be doing:

Being primary point of contact for Product Safety and Environmental (PS&E) activities within the International Navy Support programme

Accountable for the delivery of contracted services related PS&E

Coordination of stakeholders and information to support PS&E meetings and reviews

Generation of the Safety Case, associated reports and supporting documentation including Hazard Logs

Providing PS&E advice to internal and external stakeholders

Supporting International Navy Support business winning campaigns

Your skills and experiences:

Ability to manage Product Safety and Environmental Plans and related documentation, generating safety justifications and safety case reports

Demonstrable experience as a product safety practitioner and or evidence of formal education and degree qualification (ideally Chartered Engineer, or working towards)

Experience in a similar environment

Previous management experience in a safety / engineering role

The International Navy Support team:

As part of the International Navy support team, you will be dealing with large scale international contracts. It’s an exciting time to join the team as we are currently bidding for a variety of new opportunities in new territory i.e., Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman. The International Naval Support Team deal with mainly targeted classes, ranging from small to mid-size vessels.

Strong professional growth history with assistance in receiving IEng or CEng accreditation and being promoted to senior positions could be possible. You will get experience working across multiple divisions and responsibilities elsewhere in the larger warship support area as a result of being exposed to a variety of opportunities.
