At Baker Hughes, we are transforming the future of energy. With operations in over 120 countries, we are developing and deploying industry-leading technologies and services to take energy forward.
For more than a century, our inventions have revolutionized energy. Today, we are bringing our expertise to make oil and gas safer, cleaner, and more efficient.

Baker Hughes is committed to an inclusive and collaborative culture, helping our employees across the globe develop their careers and thrive at work every day. We are committed to employing, developing and retaining dedicated staff. Our philosophy for Reward in Recognition is to recognise our employees for their performance and contribution to our organisation. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package which is reviewed regularly. This package includes a variety of options that can be used flexibly to suit our employee’s needs. Additionally we have a number of programs that can be utilised to recognise personnel in our organisation, which also include bonus schemes and key employee commitment programs. We undertake annual performance discussions with our employees, setting priorities and discussing development opportunities. Additionally Baker Hughes undertakes regular talent reviews in order to aid succession planning, with particular focus on key positions within the organisation. We also undertake regular review of policies to ensure they support all employees to deliver a flexible, diverse and effective working environment
Our People Framework Commitments are:
- Increase diversity in leadership, our employee base, and our supply chain to reflect the communities where we operate.
- Attract, equip, and empower the workforce of the future by investing in early leadership development, supporting employee health and wellbeing, and creating opportunities for the next generation of talent.
- Collaborate with organizations and on projects aligned with interests and needs of the communities where we live and work around the globe.

At Baker Hughes we are passionate about creating opportunities for the next generation of talent. Our STEM Inspiration program aims to reach underrepresented groups and broaden inclusion in STEM, to provide clarity on career pathways and open the eyes of young people, teachers and parents about how engineering and technology can help us rise to the challenge of building a world that works.
In 2020, we celebrate ten years of our girls’ focused program, GirlsGetSET, which aims to attract more girls into engineering careers. GirlsGetSET inspires female students to discover the opportunities in STEM through sustained role model mentoring and dynamic group activities. The scheme is led by 183 volunteers who mentored 711 girls in 25 schools during the year.
