We are looking for a dedicated, talented, and knowledgeable IT professional to help identify and define the right technological solutions that will support the delivery of project outcomes.

This is an exciting time to join Edinburgh Airport, with no shortage of interesting projects for an IT Architect (or aspiring) IT Architect to get stuck into.

You will play a pivotal role in solving problems, delivering continuous improvement initiatives, identifying good ideas, and helping the airport achieve its future growth targets.

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborating with project teams to understand business needs and translating those into system solutions.
  • Ensuring that infrastructure meets business goals, end-user requirements, and works towards resolving systems issues.
  • Planning, executing, and managing the integration of new solutions into existing architecture, by assessing available design options and determine optimal approach.
  • Building high level designs for new projects consistent with end-to-end architecture standards.
  • Encouraging best practice and actively promoting continuous improvement.
What we're looking for

To apply for this role, you'll need

  • In depth IT skills and experience across a range of IT specialisms
  • Experience of working with and within projects to influence technology change across a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and part of a team
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, and good ability to communicate complex technical terminology into plain language
