About Macro Technology

Macro Technology provides first class technology solutions across the Rates, FX, Commodities and Emerging Markets businesses within the Corporate Investment Bank.

It's an exciting time to join the Macro Technology organisation – a lot is changing. The way our clients want to do business, the way our competition is expanding beyond banks to fintechs, the shift in how our teams want to work, the expectation from all of us to be engaged and connected to the work we do at a deeper level, the transformation that Cloud brings and the opportunity of AI/ML are all major shifts that we need to be leading rather than following.

The Transformation, Governance and Modernization team act as a lynchpin for the Macro Technology organisation with delivery oversight for a number of cross-cutting priorities including modernization of our technology estate, supporting our transformation journey to a product operating model, overseeing key governance forums and provided strategic communications to our stakeholders and colleagues.

Job Summary

If you are looking for a varied and interesting role, have a knack for translating complex information into a compelling and exciting narrative and have an eye for detail and organisation then we would love to hear from you.

In this newly created role in the Transformation, Modernization and Governance team you will be expected to contribute and lead on a wide variety of deliverables including:

  • Deliver monthly reporting packs for key governance meetings with Macro Technology stakeholders, helping ensure that updates provided are robust, clear and concise to a non-technology audience
  • Support our transformation to a product-centric organisation, tracking and reporting on our progress and delivering specific communication to help embed and sustain agile ways of working with a focus on maximizing end-to end project transparency
  • Help articulate and communicate our strategy, priorities and focus to our stakeholders and teams through ad hoc updates, town halls, management meetings and other key communication channels across the organisation
  • Act as a trusted adviser to stakeholders and leaders across Macro Technology to provide ad hoc support on a range of initiatives and priorities

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience and capability in the following areas:

  • You’re able to see the big picture and love connecting the dots between ideas, people and processes. You have a flair for translating complex information into clear and concise presentations, reports and updates suitable for a senior audience. You will have excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills to help you do this and experience in tableau or other data visualization models is a bonus.
  • You are a super organizer, able to work on many things at the same time. You’re always thinking, ‘How can we do this better, faster of cheaper’ and never drop the ball.
  • Ideally, you will have worked in a technology organisation before and exposure or experience of Agile ways of working is a bonus. As a minimum you will have an interest in technology and enjoy learning new things. You thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment, otherwise you get bored.
  • You are an empathetic communicator and can build and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
