As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Investment & Corporate Banking Technology team, you play a crucial role in an agile team that is dedicated to improving, creating, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a fundamental technical contributor, your responsibilities include implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains within various business functions to support the firm's business goals. You will become part of a high-performing global team of engineers developing an industry-leading Customer Relationship Management system with over 5000 JPMorgan Chase users.

Job responsibilities

  • Responsible for the collation, prioritization, and co-ordination of technical platform improvements
  • Ensure the application & infrastructure is designed to be resilient, secure, scalable, and cost effective.
  • Ensure the Production environments is resilient to emerging cyber threats
  • Lead the continual improvement of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment best practices and solutions
  • Participate in triaging, examining, diagnosing, and resolving incidents and work with others to solve problems at their root

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiar with site reliability concepts, principles, and practices
  • Familiar with observability best practices and technologies such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, and others
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment best practices and technologies such as Jules, Spinnaker, etc.
  • Ability to analyse application telemetry & application data in order to determine root cause of application issues
  • Able to configure and maintain infrastructure assets such as Kafka, Elastic Search, Oracle, Mongo, etc.
  • Familiar with best practices, solutions, and technologies to ensure a secure application
  • Experience of working with a globally distributed development team
