Help shape the direction of our Chief Data Office Experience Design team. As a UX Design Associate on this team, you’ll be producing product design for our internal cross-LOB Data and Analytics ecosystem. Your data acumen will be critical in this role as you tackle ambiguity in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

As a UX Designer, you’ll focus on internal-facing applications and will be responsible for delivering innovative design solutions to complex data problems in a collaborative environment. Working as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll work in partnership with our product managers, business stakeholders and development teams to create exceptional internal data tools.

In this role, you will:

  • Work on the internal products and services for our Chief Data & Analytics Office of JP Morgan’s Commercial & Investment Bank.
  • Translate complex ideas into understandable concepts that evolve and enhance the data product experiences.
  • Design experiences through wireframes, visuals, and prototypes.
  • Engage in product prioritization and champion enhancements grounded in user research and analysis.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners, and play a key role defining the next generation of user experience.
  • Deliver work that is user-friendly, aesthetically engaging, and also produces results, measuring your work against established success criteria and performing user validation throughout the design process.
  • Leverage your knowledge and experience in design thinking to plan and facilitate ideation with project stakeholders.
  • Develop a working knowledge of competitor products and industry trends.

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should:

  • Have 5 years of UX Design experience.
  • Have proficiency designing for data-led experiences and have an understanding of data analytics and data science workflows.
  • Be proficient in Figma.
  • Be a problem solver who works best within a collaborative team-focused environment.
  • Be comfortable learning complex financial and regulatory concepts.
  • Be a detail-focused, self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and evolving business requirements.
  • Understand what makes an experience good or bad. You can think through user problems, find reasonable solutions, explain your rational to multiple roles, mock them up in detail, and work with engineers to build them.
  • Understand and practice the different phases of the user research and design process –validating hypotheses with users, effectively communicating concepts, creating low/high fidelity prototypes.
  • Be comfortable giving and receiving feedback and critique.
