The Learning team at JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) is on a multi-year journey to radically transform how we develop and deliver learning to our employees. In order to drive proactive, skills-based learning strategies across the enterprise, we're re-organizing learning delivery into various 'Skills Academies.'

This approach emphasizes the importance of developing specific skills through scalable solutions across our lines of business and functions. Within each Skill Academy, our vision is for multi-modal learning to be organized into relevant learning domains that will ultimately streamline access to domain-specific learning content, improve the employee experience, and drive tangible business impact.

JPMC Operations Academy was created as part of a strategic initiative designed to develop and retain talent, and accelerate the application of skills required to support strategic priorities of our operations businesses.

As a Change and Controls Projects Lead – Vice President for International Consumer Banking (ICB) Operational Learning your mission will be to devise, lead and execute our controls, governance, reporting and change for operational learning.

We operate in an Agile development environment, constantly striving for improvement, fast iterations, data-centric decisions, and collaboration across the franchise. You will report to Head of ICB Operational Learning working in close partnership with business leadership and Human Resources.

In this role you will be pivotal in ensuring ICB Operations Learning is well-controlled, effective and efficient as we scale up our business and move into new markets. You will be occasionally travelling domestically.

Job responsibilities

  • Evaluate, amend, review data and keeping evergreen the following aspects of ICB Operations Learning
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to learning and development including all risks and controls - including governance frameworks, compliance, exam-readiness, record-keeping
  • Ensure of our end-to-end processes are documented and monitored including intake, metrics, SOPs, use of eLMS, and contracting with Ops leaders, Planning, and Learn partners (e.g., e-learning QA) allowing for a plan of continuous improvement to be implemented
  • Document our methodology for Training Needs Assessment including what we data we record, models and methods we follow and documentation/templates we use
  • Design and own a model for all resource planning for the ICB Ops learning function
  • Own and deliver all ongoing updates to senior leaders in the business, focusing on strategic outcomes and progress against agreed metrics
  • Measure outcomes and evaluate the business impact of solutions; learn and iterate to continually improve and adapt to changing circumstances and manage our cost to serve
  • Project manage the learning aspects and implications of tooling changes across Chase UK, Nutmeg and JPMC and how they can drive transformation and improvement to the learning experience as we continue to move towards a more digital delivery approach such as:
    • eGain knowledge management tool
    • Excellerate – micro-learnings tool;
    • Storyline and Playvox e-learning tools
    • other emerging market tools and technologies taken from firmwide learning discussions
  • Lead a plan for continuous improvement and change using techniques such as Agile and Design Thinking to evolve the learning operations proposition and support the upskilling of all resources to meet changing business needs

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Extensive experience and understanding managing learning across different modalities (classroom, e-learning, communities of practice), including processes, tools, and controls
  • Worked in dynamic, fast-moving professional environments
  • Experience in governance, performance metrics, continuous improvement (Agile, Design Thinking) and reporting
  • Strong knowledge and network in JPMorgan Chase HR community is preferred

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in retail banking operational learning and Human Resources space
  • Proven presentation and communication skills at all levels of the organization including the ability to quickly gain credibility with senior level management; proven influencing skills
  • Substantial experience in governance, controls, transformation and change management for learning and the ability to collaborate and build strategic relationships across the wider organization at all levels
