As a Application Technology Support III team member in Engineering Platforms & Experience team, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.

Job responsibilities

  • Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
  • Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability
  • Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
  • Identify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
  • Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development and operation teams to ensure smooth software releases and deployments.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas to improve in terms of efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for proactive issue detection and resolution to ensure proper configuration management and version control practices.
  • Participate in incident response and resolution, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hand on experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
  • Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
  • Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Expertise in a development language such as Java or Python or scripting languages such as Java Script, Bash or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry, etc.
  • Experience with micro-services, Unix, Linux
  • Experience of Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban, Test Driven Development etc)
  • Experience in a DevOps or support role, working with CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-On knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Participate in weekends on call support, on rotation basis.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
  • Experience in data mining and querying against databases
  • Experience and comfortable working in a high paced dynamic environment
