Job Summary

The Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Digital Product Management Vice President will accelerate value generation for one of Investment Bank’s key businesses through digital & intelligence solutions. The goals include, but are not limited to, delivering client value, enhancing access to data / insights, and improving banker effectiveness across advisory, origination, execution, and post deal. This person will work closely with the ECM leadership team and help craft a refined vision for success, champion this agenda, and deliver best-in-class solutions with a dedicated team, while leveraging connectivity with firmwide centers of excellence and cross-functional partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with senior leaders in the ECM business to identify and scope solutions (new and modifying existing solutions) that can help deliver on business priorities across the value chain
  • Provide directional estimates on resource requirements and delivery schedule (milestones) for potential solutions
  • Define product vision and document detailed user requirements
  • Work with Engineering, Design & Data teams to help build solutions and a platform that meet business needs; ensure adaptability and scalability of solutions across regions, business lines, etc.
  • Manage and deploy budget and schedule to maintain suite of digital solutions
  • Align with other functional groups to adhere to firmwide policies and practices (e.g., HR, Legal, Risk/ Compliance)
  • Lead a small team of dedicated full-time employees; responsibility for hiring, training and developing talent

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Established understanding of global investment banking (especially Equity Capital Markets and Investment Banking Sector Coverage) and deep knowledge of the investment banking industry
  • Demonstrated business acumen; ability to think and act commercially (e.g., ROI / Wallet Share / League Tables)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats, making a clear distinction between abstracting out or zooming in, subject to the audience in context
  • Ability to collaborate and influence, particularly with senior bankers; understand user pain points
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to establish and communicate a persuasive vision, inspire commitment, and develop champions
  • Disruptive thinking, ability to set growth ambitions beyond status quo; demonstrated passion for digital disruption and innovation

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Professional Services or client-facing experience
  • Educational Background in Engineering or Technology
