J.P. Morgan is seeking a passionate, strategic communicator to drive innovative executive communication programs for the firm’s Commercial & Investment Banking business in EMEA.

The successful candidate will be highly creative and well-rounded, with an ability to operate both at the highest strategic levels as well as at the tactical and executional levels to deliver excellence and cohesive messaging. The candidate must work effectively in a matrixed environment, as this role requires close collaboration with senior leaders, in-country communications leads, media relations, product marketing teams, legal, compliance, sales and other business functions. This role will report to the global head of Executive Communications for the Commercial & Investment Bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute holistic executive and employee engagement communications strategies
  • Develop internal content and messaging (intranet articles, announcements, talking points, town halls, blogs, video scripts, etc.)
  • Collaborate across the CIB Marketing & Communications organization on executive communications, social media, content development and marketing to amplify business initiatives
  • Help ensure effective communications globally, as needed, in coordination with Corporate Communications and in-country communicators
  • Review and approve external public speaking engagements
  • Identify and track key performance metrics

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or other related degree
  • Minimum of ten years relevant experience in executive communications
  • Solid understanding of financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of corporate executive and employee communications strategies, best practices, implementation and execution
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships; must be able to work closely with senior executives and demonstrate executive presence
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and align across cross-functional teams, while interacting with multiple stakeholders
  • High level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and accepts accountability and responsibility
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to simplify complex subjects with ability to provide writing samples when applying to the position
  • Commitment to maintaining the firm’s high standards related to risk, compliance and the Code of Conduct
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours depending on business needs
