Job Description

Do you like understanding situations and customer challenges? Can you find potential for improvement in situations? Are you energised by helping people solve their problems?

We’re looking for someone to take on this Pre-Sales Engineer role, building relationships with customers to understand the challenges and opportunities that our Oakdoor products could help them with. Your role will help build large cross domain solutions, drive our product development, and improve existing products.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the sales team to help technical customers understand how Oakdoor can solve their problems and create business value.
  • Identifying new technical requirements and opportunities, whilst communicating these with our engineering teams and leadership to define the future roadmap.

  • Develop a good understanding of customer, product user and competitor communities. Ability to learn and speak the language of customer and users.

  • Create and deliver technical demonstrations, guiding customers towards the right products and services for them. Where applicable, working with customers face-to-face on their site, providing hands-on help to integrate Oakdoor products (in conjunction with support teams).

  • Ensure smooth transition from sales into contract delivery, working with production, customer success / service management and support teams to deliver on customer expectations.

  • As a small team, communication and sharing across the group is important for us and collaboration across the full team is very common. Your input will be an important tool shaping our growth and drive our vision for our next generation of products, services and support.

  • Have technical and industry knowledge of networking
  • Have an interest in software, networking

  • Be energised by working with others

  • You will be based within the UK, with the ability to travel to clients as required, plus regular visits to your colleagues in the development team in Cambridge and London. You will be a UK National and would either currently hold, or be willing to obtain, UK security clearance.
