The purpose of the Risk & Assurance function within PMI is to provide independent, objective assurance and risk consulting services designed to add value and improve PMI’s operations, with the mission to enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight, through a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes, in order to help PMI accomplish its objectives.

A key pillar within the Risk & Assurance Function is the Professional Practices, that acts as the key enabler and accelerator for Audit / Assurance and Non-Financial disclosure engagements through the development and maintenance of audit tooling with focus on Data Analytics, overall enhanced Quality Assurance and centralized reporting of all audit and assurance activities.

Overall, the Professional Practices Pillar will drive the complex transformation of the Function through accelerating productivity, increasing efficiency & effectiveness, increasing risk coverage, enhancing audit planning, scoping and quality, data driven desktop reviews, consolidating all audit and assurance activity reporting, amongst others.

Your 'day to day'

As Lead Prof Practices - QA, you will be responsible in supporting the Head of Professional Practices - Quality Assurance.

More specifically, you will

  • Support methodology innovation projects to continually stay ahead of audit and assurance practices and trends, focusing on ESG assurance in line with IAASB, CSRD, and other relevant sustainability framework requirements, including audit and assurance manuals, templates, sampling, work instructions, work programs, etc.
  • Contribute to the robust QA environment by supporting the definition, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of:
1. Comprehensive audit and assurance methodology in line with applicable standards and industry requirements, with a focus on ESG assurance.
2. Alignment between methodology and audit tooling for areas such as risk taxonomy, audit overview, working papers, reporting, etc.
3. Audit and Assurance reporting review process
4. Onboarding, training, and development programs
5. Guardian of digital assets, including the MS Teams, the audit management system.
  • Support the overall Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP), including periodical internal and external quality assessments.
  • Lead ad-hoc projects, including supporting changes to stakeholder needs as well as industry requirements e.g., Standards, International Professional Practices Framework and Code of Ethics of the IIA

Who we're looking for

  • University degree (BA/BS) level education (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Business, etc.)
  • Post University Professional Certification/Education – examples: Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant (CPA/CA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), etc.
  • 4+ years of experience in (Enterprise) Risk Management, Internal Controls, Internal Audit, with a preference of a combination of one of the aforementioned roles
  • Relevant experience in:
o ‘Big Four’ and/or other public accounting / audit / consulting
o Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
o Multi-year international assignments
o Project Management
o Audit tooling
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to present with impact and clarity
  • Curiosity to look for opportunities to simplify and enhance existing processes
  • Genuine empathy towards colleagues and leading by example
  • Collaboration with others beyond the team to deliver value
  • Proficient written and verbal English business professional language skills
