Join our Credit Control Team

You will be part of a largedynamicteam of Credit Controllers. The team is responsible for mitigating payment and cash risk to the business by chasing and collecting payment of invoices owed to Softcat. The team also contribute innovatively to achieve resolution for account queries, ensuring completion of a smooth order process from point of sale to payment received.

The team engages with our sales account managers, builds strong relationships with our customers and works closely with the wider business to achieve individual and team cash collection targets. The team prides itself on thoroughness, accuracy & efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our team and to take accountability for a ledger of up to 700 customer accounts. You will be responsible for collecting payment for current and overdue invoices whilst embodying our Softcat values. You will deliver a high level of customer excellence to our internal and external customers.

As a Credit Controller, you'll be responsible for:

  • Chasing and collecting payment of invoices that are owed to Softcat against individual and team targets
  • Using both telephone and E-mail communication collection methods
  • Collaborating with Sales teams and Customer Service team, to assist in resolution of queries raised
  • Keeping customer data accurate and recording all communications
  • Supporting sales with large and complex customer accounts and requirements
  • Working in conjunction with Credit Assessment to minimise credit risk to Softcat

We'd love you to have

  • Demonstrable credit control experience
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure independently or within a team
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail
