About the Role

Base Location: Flexible UK | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots around the UK.

Salary: £53,100 - £79,700 + performance related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

About the role

This role is within our Networks Distribution, Technology Digital and Data (TD&D) team supporting our Digital Strategy and vision to be a progressive network owner, using digital to enhance social and economic value, deliver a leading experience for our customers and to enable the energy system to support net zero carbon emissions.

The Cyber Delivery Lead (Project Manager) will be responsible for delivery of one or more projects in our Cyber Resilience Programme for Operational Technology and Information Technology. The programme will consist of more than 30 projects totalling over £30m in the RIIO-ED2 regulatory review period.

The main purpose of the Cyber Delivery Lead (Project Manager) role is to lead end-to-end delivery of the product lifecycle and product roadmap via their delivery team through use of best practice methodologies, including both agile and waterfall, ensuring effective control over costs and resourcing enabling the delivery of business outcomes.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

- Lead the successful delivery of projects according to prescribed governance methodologies, ensuring project risks, issues and dependencies are managed effectively.

- Manage the product and delivery teams, and wider stakeholders as required, across end-to-end product lifecycle to ensure that resultant systems/services deliver the specified outcomes, within budget and timescale, without introducing technical debt.

- Work with delivery teams to ensure they are adopting and using appropriate methodologies and ceremonies effectively.

- Management of third parties, reviewing their performance, ensuring alignment with SSE ways of working and values acting as a routine contact point between organisation and supplier.

- Help protect SSE from cyber attack and data loss by following standards and instructions and by reporting risks and incidents.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Experience of leading, managing and delivering complex IT and/or OT Projects, demonstrating and meeting business value and outcomes.

- Experience in applying various waterfall (e.g. Prince2, APM, PMP) and Agile methodologies and supporting context, such as governance, process and culture across different levels of portfolio.

- High level knowledge of development processes, including but not limited to DevOps, Scrum, Kanban and Lean development.

- Experience of supporting budget and funding submissions, advocating for the correct level of funding to deliver against the products business and operational requirements.

- Excellent stakeholder management experience with strong communication skills including prioritising and influencing skills.
