What is the Role?

Base Location: Inverness

Salary: £26,609 - £35,892 depending upon skills and experience + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Remote Controlled Mulching Machine Operator / Tree Cutter to join our in-house vegetation management team.

Key Responsibilities:

- You will work within a highly skilled team involved in all aspects of vegetation management around our overhead and underground networks as well as substations and other Transmission assets.

- You will be responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of a Green Climber LV800 remote-controlled mulching machine ensuring all mulching requirements are conducted safely, efficiently, and effectively to meet delivery targets.

- You will also be involved with assisting the wider team conducting other tree cutting activities.

- You will understand the relevant industry legislation and safety guidelines associated with conducting arboriculture work within the proximity off power lines.

- Involved with both internal and external tree cutting teams to ensure work is completed to a high standard.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Previous experience in operating and maintaining mulching or similar machines would be advantageous although full training would be provided.

- Experience in tree cutting or similar industry with some relevant NPTC qualifications for chainsaw work would be a bonus, however not essential as training would be provided.

- Enthusiasm and drive with a flexible approach to work and an ability to adapt to changing business and project priorities.

- High regard for safety, embedding yourself in our safety culture and adhering to guidelines in everything you do is a key priority.

- Effective communication, customer relationship skills and a commitment to always providing a high-level service.

- A full, current driving license is essential along with trailer towing, categories B + C.
