About the Role

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key Scotland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness.

Salary: £47,600 - £71,600 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Finance Reporting Delivery Manager will support ongoing drive and delivery across all layers of the finance reporting process (statutory, regulatory, performance and operational). The role will manage a small team of developers who will be responsible for working with the business and finance teams to maintain and further develop the current reporting suite across Finance systems as well as support the developing of new standard reports/KPI's as new systems are introduced which further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Finance reporting.

SSE Finance Transformation are looking for a candidate with deep knowledge of Finance processes and reporting systems and has been involved in programmes and projects from design through to delivery. You will have strong change management experience and a background in finance transformation. A background in the energy sector would be beneficial but not a necessity.

- Create and drive the Finance reporting strategy through a deep understanding of requirements and best in class tools/technologies with an initial focus on Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and in addition PowerBI, Oracle Analytics and the Oracle EPM suite.

- Leading a small project team to deliver tangible improvements to finance reporting (statutory, regulatory, performance and operational) and you will be responsible for working closely with the 3rd parties where required and internal IT and data teams within SSE and also deliver the development of requirements of new reports/reporting solutions.

- Design and lead the reporting implementation roadmap (resourcing, milestones, KPI's) ensuring the right balance of 'quick wins' and longer term improvements.

- Work with stakeholders and project teams to identify improvements to the design and delivery of current finance reports, with the aim of rationalising, standardising and automating the SSE Finance reporting suite.

- Lead the end to end cycle from reporting requirements, design through to build, user acceptance testing and implementation

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Experience of leading Finance Reporting projects.

- In depth understanding of key Finance reporting systems and tools with an initial real focus on Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition - OBIEE and in addition PowerBI, Oracle Analytics and the Oracle EPM suite.

- Experience of managing small project teams through the programme design and delivery phase of reporting workstreams.

- Experience of change projects, including understanding of resource management, budgeting, communications and governance.

- Good understanding of the role of the Finance function within energy organisations, including all aspects of the finance operating model (people, data, technology).
