About the Role

Base Location: Perth (with a requirement to be based in the Perth office 2-3 days per week, with flexibility to work from home / another SSE office the remainder of the week).

Salary: £31,339 - £35,892 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As a Settlements Support Analyst you will be responsible for the operation of validation routines to ensure accuracy of volumes, income and expenditure. Some of your other main accountabilities will include: -

- Managing the invoice lifecycle process, ensuring validation tools are fit for purpose and minimise risk and bad debt.

- Delivering a high-quality, professional customer experience with accuracy and adherence to our contractual and regulatory obligations including managing customer relationships to ensure prompt resolution of any issues or queries.

- Maintaining the processes which validate & reconcile trades, contracts & banking transactions.

- Validating, processing, and peer review of various invoices, to ensure adherence to contract terms.

- Daily bank reconciliations, payment collation, administration tasks and monthly reporting, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Experience of working within a similar style of role, high-volume transaction processing and financial understanding would be desirable.

- IT literacy in using Microsoft 365 and packages such as Excel, Word and Outlook.

- Organisational and prioritisation skills are a must, along with strong attention to detail.

- Self-motivated and proactive, you will have strong numerical skills, along with analytical and problem-solving skills.

- The ability to work to tight deadlines, with a flexible approach is essential and, although a great team player, you should be confident working independently, taking ownership of a task or problem through to completion.

Energy Markets (EM) is the energy markets heart of the SSE Group, securing value for SSE's asset portfolios in wholesale energy markets as we move towards our vision of being a leading energy company in a net zero world. We play a critical role as the short-term energy market asset optimiser, and a long-term energy market adviser, for all SSE's Business Units (across SSE's Wind, Hydro, Low Carbon Thermal, Distributed Energy and Customer portfolios).
