About the Role

Base Location: Flexible Scotland | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots around Scotland, within our Network Area.

Salary: £55,200 - £83,000 + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for the secure storage of approximately £50m worth of network strategic spares including transformers and GIS equipment.

- As the Transmission Logistics expert, you will provide advice to Asset Management on the development of Spares Policy and materiel holding levels, as well as managing the purchase of spares through project teams as projects are being delivered.

- Utilise existing and develop IT systems to manage inventory stock levels, delivery times and transport expenditure.

- Allocate and manage staff resources to meet dynamic project and operations activities in support of the network performance.

- Lead and manage the Logistics Team Managers who are situated across the network area.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Experience in project logistics and management.

- IT Knowledge with experience of Inventory Management Systems.

- Financial awareness including budget management.

- Understanding of COSHH/PUWER/LOLER Regulations.

- H&S Compliance - NEBOSH or equivalent trained.
