We have a great, new, opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor with a good level of Employee relations experience to bolster our People team here at UW.

We'd love to find someone with strong experience advising managers on a wide range of People solutions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. It's critical you have a collaborative approach and relish the opportunity to help teams to be productive and high performing. Here's some of the key skills and experience we're looking for:

  • A good working knowledge of employee relations and employment law
  • Experience of providing an advisory role to a range of People leaders
  • Expertise in HR operations
  • Executing small to medium people and change projects.
  • Great relationship-building skills with the ability to interact with people across all levels and parts of the organisation.
  • Performance and Customer Orientated approach
  • Inclusion and diversity mindset
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of data capture
  • Ability to interpret and adapt people policy to make it easy to understand for leaders and employees.

We work together. Your team and the people you will work with…

You'll be joining the People Squad who work closely with our Customer Experience teams. We have a team of People Solutions Advisors, headed up by our Senior Solutions Manager, Mel. The squad also comprises People Partners and Recruitment Partners to provide a full employee experience lifecycle.

Wider than the Solutions team, you'll work closely with a range of people teams including People services, Reward & Payroll and Learning & Development.

And most importantly, you'll be a close partner to our Operational managers.

We deliver progress. What you’ll do and how you will make an impact

  • Deliver activities to engage and retain outstanding teams, engaging with team leaders, managers and the wider people team to deliver accurate and quality people solutions.
  • Providing high levels of customer satisfaction through single-point ownership and first-time resolution of customer needs. This may include being a known point of contact for employee persona groups or functions; providing HR advice, case management and leveraging the wider people team to provide the
  • Delivers quality people solutions first time every time, continuously improving people experiences, processes and interactions. Examples include ER options/solutions, delivering an engagement action plan, actions to improve people turnover or embedding a new people policy with leaders and teams.
  • Delivers initiatives and activities to embed and improve our people experience and culture, including a great workplace experience, wherever our people work. For example implementing smarter working principles in a Hub or for remote employees or aligning T&Cs and engaging leaders in a change programme.
  • Managing cyclical activities and engagement activities for the end to end employee persona journeys and delivers activities and projects shared by people partners and the wider people team.
  • Delivers people compliance and change programmes.
  • Provides a robust people advisory and employee relations case management service; developing and following standard and customised processes across all ER and change matters.
  • Coaches and works closely with people advisors and the wider people team to delivery quality processes and solutions.
