Your New Role…

The Content Planning and Insights Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic planning and performance analysis of our digital content. This position requires a candidate with an understanding of sports content trends, audience behaviour, and a strong analytical mindset. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize content creation, distribution, and engagement, ensuring our audience receives content tailored to their needs and preferences.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Support implementing the WBD Sports content strategy aligned with the company's goals and audience preferences.

  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and production teams to plan and schedule content calendars for various digital platforms.

  • Utilize data analytics tools and platforms to gather insights into audience behaviour, preferences, and engagement metrics.

  • Conduct regular content performance analysis, identifying trends and opportunities for optimization across both our owned and operated platforms and social media.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitors to stay ahead of the curve and identify content opportunities.

  • Provide insights on competitor strategies and recommend adjustments to our content approach.

  • Work closely with editorial teams to ensure content aligns with audience insights and strategic goals.

  • Communicate data-driven insights to various stakeholders, including senior management, to guide decision-making.

  • Collaborate with SEO specialists to enhance content discoverability and visibility on search engines.

  • Implement SEO best practices to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings.

  • Generate regular reports on content performance, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.

  • Present findings to relevant teams and contribute insights to overall business strategy.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Proven experience in content strategy, planning, and audience insights within the sports digital publishing industry.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics tools and platforms.

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and their application in content creation.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Passion for sports and a deep understanding of sports content trends.
