Your New Role…

To ensure accurate stock level reporting across the Kings Cross site to optimise sales opportunity. To communicate clearly and regularly with Store Manager to inform and update on stock levels that may impact sales and investigate discrepancies in inventory to minimise shrinkage and promote accuracy. Working closely with Buying and Merchandising, Warehouse, and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure smooth flow of inventory to site and report back any issues or concerns. To maintain accuracy on back-office systems, assist with POS front end changes and additions, and be the main contact for reporting issues/requirements back to Go-Tech team. To assist with deliveries to the shop and assisting on the shop floor with customer service, till work including cash handling, and shop floor replenishment when necessary.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Maintain stock: Prevent overstock and out-of-stock issues.

  • Manage stock assistants and supervise deliveries.

  • Manage display and storage: Work with VM team to adapt to shop floor changes, new lines, promotions.

  • Ensure bestsellers availability: Prevent loss of sales.

  • Manage broken stock process: Send faulty items back, destroy shop-soiled items, write off products correctly.

  • Manage stock transfers: Between site and warehouse.

  • Perform weekly/monthly cycle counts: Maintain accurate on-hand quantities, amend any discrepancies, report to Store Manager.

  • Keep logs: Of any system changes.

  • Create and manage a team where necessary to perform stock takes: Create barcode folders, prepare sites, train team, investigate discrepancies, assist at other sites.

  • Create and analyse reports: Sales Analysis, Out of Stock, Loss of Sales, Display Performance, discounts, forecast for peak trade weeks.

  • Train teams: On POS and back-office, ensure PCI training sign-off, create training manuals.

  • Report new requirements: To Go-Tech team for POS and back-office implementation.

  • Report issues: To Go-Tech and Image Insight, keep logs.

  • Perform POS regression testing: Test functionality, new updates, report issues.

  • Ensure product availability: On POS.

  • Facilitate storage: For new lines.

  • Collaborate: With Buying and Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, and Warehouse teams.

  • Assist: With administrative work, customer service, till work, stock replenishment.

  • Ensure pricing is up to date and meets standards.

Qualifications and Experience…

  • Stock or warehouse experience

  • Retail/sales experience

  • Leading or supervising a team

  • Knowledge of front-end POS systems and back-office applications/systems

  • GCSE Maths preferable, not essential

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • IT proficiency

  • Experience with inventory management systems

  • Basic understanding of financial procedures

  • In-depth knowledge of merchandising procedures

  • Attention to detail

  • Organisation

Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work.
