Worker Designation – This role is designated as a remote role. You will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. Although this role is designated as remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of applicable state and agency laws, regulations and reporting requirements related to the administration of Field Compensation
  • Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, accounting concepts and terminology, and the ability to perform math and other software calculations, extract and format data to create statistical reports
  • Proficiency and experience using Business Objects

Education & Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 4 years of job specific work experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Education & Experience Preferred

  • Accounting knowledge

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs diverse departmental duties ranging from routine to complex, requiring comprehensive knowledge of all department operational tasks to support specific regions; analyzes and prepares reports; resolves issues requiring the interpretation and application of various elements
  • Works with other departments and team members to reconcile and confirm all department accounts; reviews daily, weekly, and monthly transaction reports; researches and resolves processing errors or other discrepancies identified; ensures that all transactions (manual or automated) are posted; verifies supporting documents; confirms the content and all calculations in the information presented and the approving authority; reviews and researches account and/or associates’ information to trace sources, identify problems, resolve, and/or explain discrepancies and variances; performs corrective actions to redirect funds, initiate or retrieve payments, correct associates’ records, balance accounts, etc.
  • Provides action requests to other departments and team members to ensure associates’ records are established or re-established accurately; monitors associates’ records or department reports to ensure criteria for compensation and other incentive/program eligibility is maintained; performs research and calculations to confirm account status, determine under payments or overpayments; prepares the required documentation to generate payment and notification; works with management and the Legal Department to determine the appropriate action to be taken to recoup overpayments and/or other payments due to the organization from associates
  • Reviews daily, monthly, and/or quarterly transaction reports and statements; researches error transactions, discrepancies, and other report variances and takes appropriate action; performs all related data entry and prepares all required forms and supporting documents to initiate, stop, or retro payments; adjusts and/or reimburses deductions and withholdings; prepares debit /credit requests to reconcile and balance monthly deduction, withholding and statement accounts and reports; maintains transaction records to support and validate year-end transaction roll-up and reports
  • Performs other duties as required

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $31,200 - $71,000.
