Summary

The role is responsible for facilitating a strategy and structure to deliver accurate, timely and innovative global payroll service, with a focus on superior service experience to Aristocrat group employees.
The role will be responsible in supporting the various payroll teams across the Aristocrat group to effectively provide a localised payroll service. This leader will monitor, train/educate, undertake global payroll transformation projects, provide insights to various stakeholders, manage payroll risks, adhere to local statutory requirements and future proof payroll delivery. It is expected the role will build and maintain constructive relationships with all stakeholders, including payroll staff, payroll providers, P&C and other internal and external customers.
The current team covers GAMING across North America, Canada, Latam, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, EMEA, ANAXI in the UK, Gibraltar, DIGITAL across the UK, US, Japan, Finland, Ukraine, France, Poland, Israel, Spain.

What You'll Do

  • Support and develop payroll leaders across Aristocrat group. Ensure a culture of high performance and innovation is actively promoted within the group.
  • It is critical that this role is employee centric, has regular engagement with employees and listens to and responds to feedback in a timely manner.
  • Develop, refine, and monitor global payroll policies and procedures in line with statutory and company requirements to be best in class.
  • Work closely with our various businesses and P&C leadership team to aid daily operations and/or business transformation projects.
  • Implement continuous improvement to payroll delivery including developing business cases to present to various leaders.
  • Meet with business leaders to understand, develop, and deliver best in class payroll strategies, policies, and procedures to add value and insights to the businesses.
  • Work with payroll providers to ensure they are delivering on their service commitments.
  • Ensure payroll teams mitigate risks in a robust control environment and assist with various audits throughout the group.
  • Ensure robust controls are regularly reviewed across the payroll group to refine, so to mitigate risk.
  • Review and perform all necessary approvals for global payroll processing.
  • Ensure we are keeping up to date and meeting any statutory changes across the payroll world.
  • Ensure continuous review and strategy around payroll delivery.
  • Facilitate, support and counsel processing of ex-pats across the Aristocrat group, ensure meet all overseas and local tax requirements.
  • Future proof payroll teams especially during acquisition, by being scalable.
  • Assist and manage payroll related budget cost across the group.
  • Ensure delivery of timely and high value customer service, including refining established SLA’s and meeting or exceeding them.
  • Lead the team that manages the Employee Share Scheme from a Payroll perspective and liaise with other parts of the business to co-ordinate Pay information to enable this Aristocrat wide program.
  • Work closely with IT to facilitate the Workday to ADP (payroll system) integrations.
  • Lead the team that manages the Time and attendance processes.
  • Lead the team that manages the various commission and bonus payments across the jurisdiction.
  • Lead the team that facilitates Payroll reporting requirements for other departments.
  • Lead the team that manages the regular reconciliation process to ensure accurate feed of data into ADP from other systems.
  • Lead the team that manages the terminations and new starters for Payroll.

What We're Looking For

  • Candidate will preferably have completed their BA/BS in business, accounting, finance, or related field with equivalent experience. Any management-related studies would be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of payroll management experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of multi-site global/international payroll experience with employee populations of 5,000 or greater.
  • Required ADP Workforce Now and Workday systems expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll related federal, state, and international regulations and payroll requirements. Have a membership with a recognized payroll association.
  • Detailed understanding of the importance of robust control environment
  • Built and developed payroll teams.
  • A self-starter/high initiative to proactively identify opportunities to improve and find solutions.
  • Undertaken number of payroll transformation projects, including acquisition on-boarding.
  • Worked with both in house and outsourced payroll systems.
  • Managed ex-pats payrolls across various jurisdictions.
  • Have led a change project and been involved in payroll/finance/HR system implementations.
  • Worked closely with P&C teams to drive outcome for employees.
  • Excellent communicator who can present and influence all levels of staff and management.
  • Have used multiple payroll systems.
  • Deep knowledge of human resources systems.
  • Multitasking: able to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and a change agent.
  • Detailed orientated and can maintain confidentiality in a professional manner.
  • A strong process orientation and project management skill set.

Pay Range
$147,000-$273,000

Pay Rate Type: Salary

Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
