The Computer Vision group at Microsoft Research, Redmond is interviewing highly qualified and motivated candidates for full time researcher positions in computer vision, machine learning, and related areas. Our group conducts influential research published in top-tier venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH. They have impacted a number of Microsoft technologies including Azure, Bing, XBOX, Office, Image Composite Editor, Cliplets, Hyperlapse, and Pix.

We are looking for the experienced and motivated researchers to conduct leading research in these areas. Prospective candidates must have finished or be about to finish their PhD. We are interested in both recent graduates and those with more experience as well. Priority will be given to candidates with a strong publication record in top-tier conferences, who have demonstrated the ability to develop original research agendas, and who work well in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

We are located on Microsoft's campus in Redmond, near Seattle, Washington.

Responsibilities

We are looking for researchers who can define their own research directions and develop ideas

that will be beneficial to the international computer vision research community and Microsoft businesses and customers worldwide. Researchers are expected to work in a collaborative environment, alongside world-class researchers in computer vision and machine learning.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Must have finished or be about to finish a PhD with a focus in computer vision, machine learning, or related areas.
  • Strong publication record in top-tier conferences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to develop original research agendas.
  • Active participation in the scientific community either as a reviewer, program committee member, or conference or workshop organizer, etc.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in collaborative environment.
