In this 12 week Program Management internship you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best researchers in the world and interact with Azure customers to address their needs and design Azure Quantum to help them achieve their goals. Responsibilities

Interns put inquiry and theory into practice. Alongside fellow doctoral candidates and some of the world’s best researchers, interns learn, collaborate, and network for life. Interns not only advance their own careers, but they also contribute to exciting research and development strides. During the 12-week internship, students are paired with mentors and expected to collaborate with other interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the community. Research internships are available in all areas of research, and are offered year-round, though they typically begin in the summer.

As a Program Management (PM) intern you will be responsible for the product cycle for your features. You will apply insights from working with customers and researchers to lead feature planning and design, management of specifications and requirements, and work with your development team to learn from and improve the Azure Quantum service. You will collaborate closely with your teammates to ensure that the products exceed customer expectations and work through process to understand the engineering cycle, technical challenges, and provide customer insights to make engineering decisions. As a Program Manager you are dedicated to building software to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more.

Qualifications

In addition to the qualifications below, you’ll need to submit a minimum of two reference letters for this position. Required Qualification

  • Must be accepted or currently enrolled in a university program in Computer Science or related STEM field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of computer science fundamentals that affect code implementation and customer experience
  • Ability to demonstrate thoughtfulness in feature definition, design, and feasibility
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in cross-group collaboration
  • A desire to create an open, inclusive, and collaborative team culture
  • Experience programming with Python, C#, C++, or other programming languages
  • Limited (or more) background in mathematics and quantum physics
