Microsoft Advertising (MSA) is the Sales & Marketing engine within the Web Experiences Team (WebXT) organization. WebXT spans the Microsoft ecosystem of web experiences (Search, Maps, Ads, Edge browser, Microsoft Start), aligned on our principal goal to make the web a better place for everyone on the planet.

We are seeking top performing Enterprise sellers with Mapping product sales experience to focus on driving adoption of Microsoft’s Enterprise Mapping API products – Azure Maps and Bing Enterprise Maps. We are looking for an individual who can drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction by developing and cultivating strategic relationships with clients to meet their Enterprise Mapping needs.

Maps Account Executives will help us build the evolution of the Enterprise maps business, collaborating with prospective clients and reseller partners to drive awareness and adoption with new Enterprise Maps clients. Through strategic account planning, flawless client management, and data-driven strategizing, this role will help execute our aggressive goals to drive adoption of our Enterprise Maps products. The individual in this role will bring Mapping API knowledge, enterprise sales experience, client obsession, a passion for innovation and best-practice sharing, and a proven track record for delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption of Bing and Azure Maps with large enterprise clients – from qualification through implementation.
  • Partner with Microsoft Commercial account teams and specialists to incorporate Maps products into our broader Microsoft client strategy and approach.
  • Utilize industry and product knowledge to influence our enablement programs and go-to-market approach. Proactively enable others’ success, present within a 1:Many learning capacity, and work to exponentially increase the knowledge of account teams and leadership.
  • Leverage client knowledge, advocacy, and relationship skills to establish best-in-class engagement standards to be emulated by the team; be regarded by internal and external clients as trusted partner and wield deep influence to hold the client accountable to achieving goals.
  • Orchestrate across Commercial Sales, Maps Engineering, Product Marketing, Operations and other key partner teams to develop overall solution strategy and action on client and partner feedback.
  • Respond to client requests and escalations; then take steps to improve business processes with business owners.
  • Collaborate across regions to influence processes and client strategies by sharing learnings and innovative techniques.
  • Understand how the client’s needs can be met with One Microsoft and Industry solutions; develop expert knowledge of clients' positions within their industry/channel and key drivers.
  • Create deep connections within our communities, focus on increasing representation, retaining and growing our current team members, while fostering awareness and growth through an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5+ years Enterprise sales experience required.
  • Minimum 2+ years Enterprise Mapping sales experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience influencing and driving conversations with C-level clients.
  • Flexibility to accommodate change and thrive amid ambiguity.

Preferred:

  • Deep competitive knowledge of the players and partners across the Enterprise Maps ecosystem that can elevate client success and help create solutions that result in positive revenue impact for the business.
  • Deep knowledge of mapping API ecosystem including from experience in associated Sales, Operations or Service functions.
  • Demonstrated success with complex negotiations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills, ability to scale across all levels of an organization.
  • Relentless focus on the client experience.
  • Passion for technology as an enabler for company growth.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
