The Role at NFP

This internship supports the Total Rewards and Compensation Consulting Team through creation, development, research, execution, and drafting information, data analyses and reports for external clients. Contributions to the team include producing work products, completing data analysis, and managing projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Data analysis and presentation of that data in a meaningful, simple, and useful format
  • Completing projects such as FLSA analysis and EEO-1 classifications
  • Draft compensation reports and presentations based on existing templates
  • Using project management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Reviewing and writing job descriptions, as needed
  • Researching and understanding benchmarks, salary structures, and benefits packages
  • Supporting projects in general HR areas such as HR assessments and audits
  • Meeting deadlines and providing feedback to the VP, Total Rewards Practice, as necessary, to complete projects on varied activities at one time
  • Supporting the sales process by preparing proposals and sales presentations
  • Adapting to change and remaining flexible
  • Responding in a calm and effective manner to a variety of demands, projects, and personality types
  • Preparing, disclosing, and handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Being meticulous with detail and accuracy in deliverables
  • Being open to keeping a flexible schedule
  • Operating several different survey databases/software
  • Taking initiative and developing formalized processes
  • Operating of Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel Skills required
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent communication (verbal and writing) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrating commitment, dedication, and self-motivation
  • Socializing in a professional manner while representing the company respectably

Education and/or Experience:

  • Working toward a bachelor’s degree in HR, business, finance, or another related field (required)
