The Role at NFP

The position has primary responsibility to work as part of a team organizing, planning and managing projects to drive financial analysis and strategy for NFP. In addition, the Financial Analyst will design, implement and manage performance models required to enable consistent analytics to sustain operational improvements

Financial Analyst reports to the VP of FP&A. The role includes significant interfaces and engagement with NFP’s CFO, IMO and M&A groups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be a key analytical resource for FP&A, IMO and M&A teams seeking knowledge and resolution of various data analysis issues

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports

  • Regularly collaborate with executives and department leaders to interpret and/or validate performance measurements, attributions, profit-and loss measurements and forecasting future results.

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports

  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and operational expense budget process for various departments across multiple channels and entities.

  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

  • Capture, track and report on integration synergies and performance KPIs

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Proven working experience as a business data analyst or financial analyst

  • Experience in financial modeling and profitability desirable

  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques

  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Highly self-motivated and directed

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office products: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in an analytical function
