Summary of Role:

The Account Executive interacts with clients on a day-to-day basis while developing and maintaining relationships with both client and carrier representatives. You will prepare applications, specifications and marketing strategy for new business as well as the renewals of assigned clients with some degree of supervision and approval from their supervisor. You will take on the role of lead consultant and primary point of contact for assigned clients.

This role will ideally report to one of our Massachusetts offices on a hybrid work schedule. We will consider remote options for highly qualified candidates, outside of the Peabody or Wakefield area, with experience in High-Net-Worth Personal Lines. EST zone work schedule is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and create client programs, including group excess and special markets billing
  • Negotiate coverage terms and pricing with carriers
  • Work with other team members in providing sales support for the acquisition of new customers
  • Assist with underwriting, pricing, and proposal preparation
  • Attend outside meetings with marketing partners, client groups, and insurance carriers
  • Expected to manage a book of business ($2-3M in premium) while contributing to the sales effort of the office
  • Work with internal and external centers of influence to develop new business
  • Ability to provide client support, develop and maintain relationships, and work independently on assigned accounts
  • Lead by example regarding compliance with set policies

Required Qualifications

  • P&C License is required upon hire
  • At least 3 years of Personal Lines industry and product line experience with high-net-worth coverage is required.
  • High Net Worth Account/Client Management experience is required including coverage in the MA, New England and NY markets
  • Familiarity with major markets, such as AIG, Chubb/ACE, PURE and Cincinnati Financial. This includes knowledge of their products, appetite and experience with their quoting systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly professional and self-motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with clients, colleagues, and carriers
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with an agency management system/CRM is required. Fluency with Epic is a plus.
  • HS Diploma or GED is required
  • P&C License is required upon hire
  • Able to accommodate limited travel when required for office or client visits

Preferred Qualifications

  • In addition to familiarity with the major markets as mentioned above, a familiarity with carriers such as Travelers and Progressive as well as The National Flood Ins. Program
  • A bachelor’s degree preferred.

The base salary range for this position if in NYC is $80,000 – $95,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. The option for remote will be at the discretion of the hiring team.
