Ground Control Business Management is seeking a Tax Administrator who will be responsible for maintaining the tax return due date list, filing tax returns and payments timely, and various other duties. Tax Administrator works closely with all levels of the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and timely file all tax returns and extensions for the firm
  • Track and certify mail all tax payments
  • Maintain tax return due date list and stay on top of preparers and reviewers in order to meet deadlines
  • Coordinate continuing education, tax seminars, research materials, and tax department meetings
  • Maintain various tax software programs, electronic software updates, and tax department costs
  • Maintain electronic tax storage files
  • Respond to basic IRS and state taxing authority notices
  • Prepare powers of attorney, tax payment vouchers, and EIN applications
  • Assist colleagues with various non-technical tax inquiries

Professional & Education Requirements

  • Minimum Associates College Degree
  • 3 plus years’ experience
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Proficient in overseeing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines
  • Be able to work with a variety of personalities
  • Taking initiative
  • Being a problem-solver

The base salary range for this position is $76,000 – $106,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
