Summary of Role:

This is a great opportunity to join our Commercial Lines insurance team. There is growth potential for someone eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and will be highly organized. You will be responsible for handling office administration and reception duties as well as assisting the team.

This is a full-time position working M-F in our Voorhees, NJ office. Work hours 8-5 (with hour lunch), minor adjustment to work hours may be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Answer & route incoming calls. Take messages when applicable.
  • Greet incoming guests and deliveries.
  • Sort & distribute incoming mail. Post and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Distribute incoming faxes and occasionally send outgoing faxes.
  • Process scan jobs/projects as directed by staff
  • Process incoming checks and statements-record and inbox/mailing
  • Order Supplies and maintain inventor of supplies
  • Prepare and finalize Insurance Proposals, summaries, letters and schedules for presentation to clients
  • Access Insurance Company web sites to download and print policy/mail for paperless companies.
  • Create policy delivery binders
  • Issue and Mail Certificates & Evidences of Insurance and Auto ID cards.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Ability to work M-F from our Voorhees office is required
  • Familiarity with P&C Insurance terminology a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining/adhering to deadlines and time-sensitive processing

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School graduate or general education degree (GED) required. Additional training/education is preferred
  • Experience in administrative, operations or coordinator roles in an agency or corporate environment is preferred
